Climbing one of America's highest peaks is getting a lot easier this May thanks to the reopening of the Broadmoor Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway.

The train ride will take you on a nine-mile-long three-hour journey up the 14,115-foot-high mountain, allowing you to experience breathtaking views of Colorado's nature and wildlife.

The railway has actually been in operation for 126 years, but they made the decision to close it down in March of 2018 for a full rebuild due to extensive "maintenance needs."

Three years and $100-million later, the track is officially set to reopen for business starting this May, but tickets are on sale now.

For those looking for a more thrilling adventure, the railway will allow you to hike your way up the mountain by foot on the 13-mile Barr Trail and take the train down, or ride the rails up and hike your way back down.
