Here's what you need to know about the price jump. 👇

A Costco store. Right: Person holding a Costco receipt and membership card.
Costco Canada membership fees are going to get more expensive pretty soon, so if you've been tempted to join the grocery store giant's clientele, now would be the time.
The Costco membership fees have stayed steady since 2017, sitting at $60 a year for their Gold Star one, and $120 for an Executive membership.
That price is getting a hike come September 1, 2024 though.
In a press release, Costco said that it will "increase annual membership fees by $5 for U.S. and Canada Gold Star (individual), Business, and Business add-on members."
The jump will make Canada Gold Star, Business and Business add-on memberships cost $65 a year. Annual fees for Executive Memberships will increase to $130, from the previous price of $120. They also noted that "the maximum annual 2% Reward associated with the Executive Membership will increase from $1,000 to $1,250."
Right now on the Costco website, you can sign up for a Gold Star Membership for $60 per year, plus applicable taxes, and an Executive membership for $120 per year, also plus taxes.
