This is huge! For a possible COVID-19 vaccine, Canada has now secured more than 100 million guaranteed doses.

Canada has signed yet another deal to get even more doses of a possible vaccine for the virus.

"When a vaccine is ready, Canada will be ready also," said Anita Anand, Minister of Public Services and Procurement.

With the new deal signed by the federal government, the total number of guaranteed doses of possible vaccines has reached a minimum of 154 million.

That's about four times the country's population.

The minister said this number could go up to 262 million doses of potential vaccines.

"When a vaccine is ready, we will be ready to offer it to Canadians in every corner of this country," Anand said.
