The Christmas season has officially arrived in Dallas, but one particular spot takes things to another level.

The Gaylord Hotel in Grapevine puts on a holiday spectacle unlike any other, and it's officially opened to the public starting today (Friday).

The hotel's famed "Lone Star Christmas" will last until January, and it's the perfect spot to kick off and end holiday 2020.

8 Christmas activities to do 

As if simply walking through the holiday spectacle wasn't already magical enough, the hotel is offering numerous Christmas events that are sure to fill you with holiday joy.

Their newest event, "I Love Christmas Movies," is the crowned jewel for this year's celebration.

The massive multi-sensory pop-up experience walks you through interactive iconic scenes from your favorite holiday movies including Elf, A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation, The Polar Express, and The Year Without A Santa Claus.

When you are done exploring your favorite movie, you can head outside for the "Yuletide Bright" Christmas lights attraction, where you will walk through 50,000 square feet of enchanting lights and displays.

Ice skating, snow tubing, and even building your snowman are among the other event you can do at this holiday extravaganza.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks will be required indoors and social distancing is strongly encouraged in order to provide a safe environment for all visitors.

Tickets are also required to be purchased online in order to limit employee contact.
