To end 2020 on a positive note, Dr. Theresa Tam shared a thread of good things that happened this year.

On Twitter, the country's top doctor said that an "inspiring aspect of 2020 has been the outpouring of kindness & goodwill from Canadians."

She noted that there are too many moments of kindness to count but she put the spotlight on people who delivered food and care kits.

Dr. Tam also gave a shoutout to those who donated masks, made signs with hopeful messages and took part in the "caremongering" trend which she called "uniquely Canadian."

Another inspiring part of 2020 for her was Canadians contributing to researching COVID-19 and working on vaccines and treatments.

Dr. Tam ended off her thread of good things that happened in 2020 by talking about Canadians who've been working on the vaccine rollout. She also gave a shoutout to essential workers, artists, teachers and others for all they did this year.

Justin Trudeau shared his thoughts on this year and said that we deserve to celebrate the end of 2020 "after the year we've had."
