Editor's Choice: Elon Musk Just Became The Richest Texan Of All Time

An increase in Tesla's share price on Thursday nudged Musk to the top of the list.

According to CNBC, the Tesla mogul's wealth surge over the past year makes him the fastest to rise to the top of the rich list in history.

At the start of 2020, Musk had a net worth of about $27 billion and barely made the top 50 richest people.

Since then, Tesla’s skyrocketing share price has added more than $150 billion to his net worth, putting him at the top of the pack where he is now.

But, Musk isn't letting his new position change his work ethic.
