WestJet's Rapid COVID-19 Tests Are Coming To 1 Airport & Could Reduce Quarantine To 2 Days

Two-week quarantine could be a thing of the past.are coming to one Canadian airport — and they could reduce mandatory quarantine to just two days!
On October 22, WestJet revealed their plans to bring super-fast testing to Calgary International Airport (YYC).
This means Alberta residents and eligible international travellers will be able to get tested for the illness upon arrival in the airport.
If the results come back negative, the passenger’s mandatory quarantine period could be reduced to just two days,
Travellers who are connecting to different airports within the province and essential foreign travellers will also be eligible to take the new test upon arrival.
The testing will be introduced on November 2, in agreement with the government of Alberta and government of Canada.
Per WestJet's news release, it's being dubbed a "quarantine reduction project."
The 26-week pilot project is the first of its kind in Canada, and could pave the way forto be rolled out nationally.
Just one day earlier, the airline also announced they'd be offeringduring the pandemic.
