Speaking at a press conference on October 27, Trudeau was asked about “COVID-19 fatigue” as the pandemic stretches into the winter months.
“We’re in an unprecedented global pandemic that really sucks,” Trudeau began. “It’s tough going through this second wave."
The PM went on to acknowledge thatin some regions but reminded Canadians that the curve has been flattened before.
Inhe explained that his six-year-old son had asked if the pandemic would last forever.
“This is really difficult,” he went on.
“We’re going to have to rely on extraordinary frontline health workers, rely on community support [...] it's the only way we get through this,” he said.
“We will get through this. Vaccines are on the horizon. Spring and summer will come and they will be better than this winter.”
The PM concluded his emotional message by saying that "better days are coming."
