Peel Police and Pearson Airport say a Muslim prayer space inside an airport multi-faith room was vandalized and they're investigating the incident as a hate crime. According to a post from the National Council Of Canadian Muslims, a non-profit advocacy organization, Muslim workers at the airport discovered the vandalism last week and are working with police to identify the suspect. In a press release, Pearson Airport said it "strongly condemns" the "deplorable crime" and will continue working with Peel Police. "To everyone travelling for essential purposes and arriving at Toronto Pearson today, but especially to our Muslim brothers and sisters, we ask that you do not let the acts of a few overshadow the values that Canadians hold dear," the airport said.
