Premier Doug Ford The premier said that he would be meeting with his cabinet this afternoon, after which he would have a "better idea" of the timing. “Our goal is to open up the economy safely, I know a couple of the hot zones might be a week later," said Ford. "But, especially in the northern and rural areas, we want to get the economy opening up, but safely. That’s the number one priority,” he continued. Ford also told reporters Wednesday that some schools across the province could expect to reopen next week. Schools in hot spot areas will have to wait an additional week. On Tuesday, the premier joined General Rick Hillier to explain the timeline for the province's phased vaccine rollout. Hillier said that they hope to have pharmacies administering vaccines by appointment come April.
