Florida's East Coast Will Feel Hotter Than The Mojave Desert Today

The heat advisories will be in effect until this evening.🌞🔥

For the second day this week, Florida weather is scorching, causing another heat advisory as heat indexes soar into the triple digits, making parts of the state feel hotter than the Mojave Desert.

The National Weather Service has issued heat advisories for almost the entire east coast, and while temps will actually hover in the 90s today, the dreaded ‘feels like’ temp will be anywhere from 108 degrees to 112.

In comparison, the Mojave Desert is forecasted to only reach about 100 degrees at its peak today.

After a lengthy list of Florida counties impacted by the severe heat, National Weather Service reports that the advisory will be in effect from noon to about 6 p.m. today.

A moderate risk of rip currents will also affect the east coast today, but thankfully, there are plenty of ways to cool off in The Sunshine State if you’re needing a break from the sea and sand.
