Location: Various cities in B.C., Alberta, Northwest Territories, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador
Who Should Apply: You must have successfully completed a nurse practitioner program with a specialty certificate in either Nurse Practitioner – Adult (NP-Adult) or Nurse Practitioner – Primary Health Care (NP-PHC).
Also, you must be eligible for registration as a Nurse Practitioner — NP, RN (EC), RN (NP), or RN (EP) — in the province or territory where the job is located.
You need experience in:
- a community or clinical setting as a nurse practitioner
- ambulatory care, acute care or community health care
- adult education and health promotion
- accessing professional literature to provide current, evidence-based care
Knowledge in assessing, diagnosing, treating and managing a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions as a nurse practitioner is required as well.
You also must be willing and able to:
- work overtime occasionally
- travel on short notice as required
- work flexible hours

Registered Nurse, Public Health
Salary: $94,016 to $106,864
Company: Indigenous Services Canada
Location: remote and/or isolated First Nations communities in Manitoba and Alberta
Who Should Apply: You must be eligible for registration as a registered nurse in the province where the job is located.
Also, you need recent and significant experience as a registered nurse in one or more of the following public health areas:
- health promotion and disease prevention
- communicable disease control
- population health assessment
- emergency preparedness, surveillance and response
A valid driver's license or personal mobility that's equivalent to the possession of a driver's license is required.
You must be willing and able to:
- travel in small aircraft, off-road vehicles and by boat in varied weather conditions to communities in remote and isolated areas
- work in a rigorous, diverse and often demanding work environment
- be temporarily reassigned to other communities as operationally required
- perform on-call duties, work after hours, and on weekends as required
- complete mandatory education or training that's relevant to the position

Primary Care Registered Nurse
Salary: $94,016 to $106,864
Company: Indigenous Services Canada
Location: remote and/or isolated First Nations communities in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, and Quebec
Who Should Apply: You must be eligible for registration as a registered nurse in the province where the job is located.
Also, you need recent and significant experience as a registered nurse in one or more of the following areas:
- acute care
- intensive care
- primary care clinic
- urgent care
- emergency care
You must have a valid driver's license or personal mobility that's equivalent to the possession of a driver's license.
It's required that you be able to:
- travel frequently in small aircraft, off-road vehicles, and by boat in varied weather conditions to communities in remote and isolated areas
- be temporarily reassigned to other communities as operationally required
- perform on-call duties, work after hours, and on weekends as required
- complete mandatory education and training relevant to the position, including cultural learning and nursing in-services

Nurse
Salary: $94,016 to $106,864
Company: Correctional Service Canada
Location: Various cities in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia
Who Should Apply: You must have registration as a registered nurse or a registered psychiatric nurse in the province where the position is located.
Experience working in a health care environment, including clinical fieldwork placements in a medical, surgical, emergency or psychiatric setting, is required.
Also, you need a valid CPR/AED level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or a valid CPR/AED for Health Care Providers (HCP) certification.
It's required that you're able to work shifts, overtime and variable hours, and able to travel occasionally.

Nurse Practitioner

Location: remote and/or isolated First Nations communities in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, and Quebec
Who Should Apply: You must be eligible for registration as a nurse practitioner in the province where the job is located.
Also, you need recent and significant experience as a registered nurse providing nursing services in one or more of the following areas:
- acute care
- intensive care
- primary care clinic
It's required that you have a current, valid billing number or prescription number in the province where the position is located to prescribe, order diagnostic tests and make referrals.
You also need a valid driver's license or personal mobility that's equivalent to the possession of a driver's license.
You must be able to:
- travel frequently in small aircraft, off-road vehicles, and by boat in varied weather conditions to communities in remote and isolated areas
- be temporarily reassigned to other communities as operationally required
- perform on-call duties, work after hours, and on weekends as required
- complete mandatory education or training relevant to the position, including cultural learning and nursing in-services
- perform virtual consultations from outside the community

Licensed Practical Nurse
Salary: $36.81 to $40.02 per hour
Company: Indigenous Services Canada
Location: remote and/or isolated First Nations communities in Manitoba
Who Should Apply: You must have a certification or diploma as a licensed practical nurse or a registered practical nurse for this job.
Also, you must be eligible for registration as a licensed practical nurse or registered practical nurse in Manitoba.
That registration must be maintained throughout your employment.
Experience providing healthcare services as a registered or licensed practical nurse is required.
You need certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation-Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
It's required that you're able to:
- travel in small aircraft, off-road vehicles and by boat in varied weather conditions to communities in remote and isolated areas
- work in a rigorous, diverse and often demanding work environment
- perform on-call duties, work after hours and on weekends as required
