Just when you think this Halloween season could not get any creepier, a weird Nova Scotia fish is here to prove us wrong.

That's because a couple of Canadians might have just stumbled across one of the creepiest looking sea critters we've ever laid eyes on.

In a now-viral TikTok video, a couple of Nova Scotia residents found a very scary-looking fish that somehow looks out of place on Canada's east coast beach.

Paige Irwin posted the video of the redfish to her socials after not knowing what it was.

"What the hell is that?" she asked in the video that garnered 200K views on the social media platform.

And we might have some answers.

According to The Weather Network with the help of an aquatic biologist, it's actually a sea raven and they are usually seen in the fall and winter seasons.

They are apparently very common in Nova Scotia and fishermen usually catch the strange creature when looking to score other fish.

Per the report, this specific fish that was found is almost too bright in colour. They say it could be due to it being a male in his breeding colour. However, the original colour is typically brown and yellow.
