Canada's very own hockey player turned medical student Hayley Wickenheiser revealed that she just wrote her last exam and shared a super sweet note she wrote to herself at the start of it all.

The former Olympian took to Twitter on April 30 to say that she had just written her last exam of medical school at the University of Calgary. She also revealed that when she handed it in they gave her back a letter she had written herself at the start of the journey three years ago.

In her post, and even in the letter, Wickenheiser shares that she always wanted to go to Harvard, but now she's glad she stayed in Canada.

One line in the note to herself that seems especially fitting amid the COVID-19 crisis reads "I hope you had fun, you found balance, you are happy you made this decision, and you aren't too burned out."

Throughout the pandemic, Wickenheiser has teamed up with Ryan Reynolds and various others to fundraise for and secure PPE and most recently encourage people to get vaccinated.
