It may look more like a shark, but this catch off the coast of Quebec is in fact tuna.

The human-sized catch was made by Pêcheries Desbois, a fishery in the province, which said the fish is valued at around $7,000 to $8,000.

Fishery director-general Myriam Cyr Desbois told MTL Blog that the fish is available for purchase at the company's two first stores, Pêcheries Desbois in Quebec City and Pêcheries Bertrand Desbois in Matane, on Friday, August 13.

The fish weighed an incredible 620 pounds, approximately the weight of three or four adults, but it's not actually the largest fish Desbois has caught. She said she's caught fish weighing over 850 pounds on previous fishing trips.

On Facebook, Desbois identified the tuna as a bluefin, which, according to Fisheries and Oceans Canada, can grow as long as 331 centimetres and weigh as much as 725 kilograms (almost 1,600 pounds).
