Trump's 'COVID Convention' In Florida Just Got Cut In Half

It comes as the state deals with worsening COVID-19 numbers.

The Republican National Committee will indeed have a scaled-down attendance in Jacksonville. 

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel sent out a letter to delegates stating that only they will be allowed inside the "COVID Convention" to see Trump's nomination speech.

Adjustments must be made to comply with state and local health guidelines.

It was an admission by the RNC that a traditional convention in Jacksonville was not going to be possible with the current pandemic looming.

Only 7,500 officials and delegates will be allowed inside the arena, compared to the 15,000 that the space can hold.

The RNC convention was initially supposed to be held in Charlotte, North Carolina.
