She's clapping back! Kate Beckinsale is in a steamy new romance with Canadian musician Goody Grace, but it seems like fans aren't too happy about their age difference. The couple has been together for a few months and recently became Instagram official.
Beckinsale and Grace were first reportedly an item back in April when they were spotted on a stroll while holding hands.
However, a source close to PEOPLE told them that the 46-year-old has "been dating him since the beginning of the year."
Beckinsale confirmed their relationship in mid-June when she wished her beau a happy birthday on Instagram, per Hollywood Life.
According to CBC, 23-year-old Grace hails from Selkirk, Manitoba and has nearly 100k followers on Instagram, where he and Beckinsale follow each other.
However, this isn't the actress' first relationship with a younger man. PEOPLE writes that she also dated 26-year-old Pete Davidson for four months in 2019, and before that was with 24-year-old comedian Matt Rife.
It seems like the trolls aren't too happy based on comments the English actress received on a video posted earlier this week.
One user wrote, "Why do you keep dating guys that could be your children?"
Beckinsale cleverly responded, "every relationship I have had has been solely to annoy you".
In another comment, a user wrote, "You need a man."
The mom of one replied, "Tell me why? To stop me sticking eyes on the cat? What if he liked eyes on the cat? What if I won’t stop? How will he help this situation."
It seems like Beckinsale has quite a sense of humour since another person asked, "Are you married?" and she replied, "to the cat yes".
PEOPLE's source added that the couple "have fun and Kate seems happy. His age is not an issue for her. It’s just a number."
Grace was raised in the tiny Manitoba town with his mom, grandmother, and brother, per CBC.
He dropped out of high school at 17 to move to L.A. and kickstart his music career and even has a collaboration song with Blink-182.
IMDb claims that Beckinsale's past relationships include her marriage to Len Wiseman from 2004 to 2019. She shares a daughter with ex-boyfriend Michael Sheen who she dated from 1995 to 2003.
