While it might be hard to imagine, some people don't like to drink coffee, and now the McDonald's rewards program is helping them out with the option for free fries (or the hot beverage of their choice) instead.

In an August 4 news release, the fast-food company announced that they would offer the option for a free medium fries after seven purchases of hot beverages or the signature side order, including any that come with a meal.

Who doesn't love free fries?

McDonald's said that one in three orders in Canada comes with fries, so they are just trying to give the people what they want.

They also noted that this allows for more opportunities to collect rewards points, as people can order items all day to get them instead of just their morning latte.

It's always great to have choices, especially when your options are a free hot drink or free fries — so which one is it going to be?
