A man from Miami was charged after fraudulently receiving nearly $4 million in COVID-19 relief funds and using it to purchase a luxury sports car.

On Monday, court documents revealed that David T. Hines, 29 fraudulently applied for about $13.5 million in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans for a few companies.

Hines would go on to buy a blue Lamborghini with the money.

According to the Department of Justice, he fabricated on the loan applications by making inaccurate statements about the expenses of the companies and how much he paid his employees.

The car and $3.4 million from his bank accounts were seized by the feds.
