Students who have been receiving financial assistance from the government have one final chance to get more, as the last period of the Canada Emergency Student Benefit approaches.

The Canada Revenue Agency noted in an August 6 tweet that this would be the last time applications from students who have been unable to find work can be put in for the CESB.

Students and recent grads can check the website to see if they are eligible to receive the benefit, which is given to post-secondary students or those who graduated in December 2019 or later.

High school students who were expecting to graduate this year and applied to a post-secondary program that starts before February 1, 2021 can also get the CESB.

Those with disabilities or dependents are able to receive an additional $750 on top of the base amount of $1,250 a month.

Keep in mind that if you applied for the CERB, you cannot also apply for the student benefit.
