This park near Toronto has a staircase bathed in fall glory and a pathway through a canyon

You can soak up some stunning fall views at this majestic park near Toronto. With colourful forest trails, woodland staircases and breathtaking vistas, the park is worth a road trip this season.

Mono Cliffs Provincial Park, located in Shelburne, is a popular spot to enjoy fall foliage.

The park is situated along the Bruce Trail and offers numerous trails with scenic views.

One of the popular trails to explore is the 1.3 kilometre Spillway Trail. The route takes you along a boardwalk and right in between the walls of a canyon.

Another gorgeous trail to explore during the fall is the Carriage Trail. You'll find a dreamy forest staircase encased in vibrant autumn colours. You can also find a staircase along the Cliff-Top Trail.

If you're craving some epic views, the Cliff-Top Trail is the place to be. The pathway takes you past 30 metre cliffs bathed in autumn enchantment.

According to Ontario Parks, Mono Cliffs is a "fall colour hot spot", so you'll need to make a reservation before visiting. You can either book a pass online or by phone.

There is limited parking available, so it's a good idea to make alternate plans in case there isn't a spot available.

Earl Rowe Provincial Park and Bronte Creek Provincial Park are some quieter destinations to visit nearby.
