If you're in Atlantic Canada, the Picture Province wants you! The Explore New Brunswick Travel Incentive Program is offering eligible Canadians up to $200 for travel expenses and all you have to do is visit before October 31, 2021.

Ahead of the sunny season, the province has extended its incentive program to Atlantic Canadians, offering to pay for up to 20% of their accommodations, transportation, food, drink and activity costs.

The region's travel department has increased its budget for the program from $3 million in 2020 to $4.5 million this year to accommodate travellers from Newfoundland, P.E.I. and Nova Scotia.

Eligible visitors who travel between May 27 and October 31, 2021, will be able to apply for the rebate, which accepts claims of up to $1,000 of eligible expenses for a maximum refund of 20% ($200) per person.

All Atlantic Canada residents aged 19 or over can qualify for the money back.

From June 7, according to New Brunswick's current reopening plan, borders are set to reopen without restrictions to people from P.E.I., Newfoundland and Labrador and some Quebec regions.

By July 1, the province is set to reopen to Nova Scotians and the rest of Canada, providing 20% of locals 65 years old or older have had their second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by then.
