After a two-day hearing, the driver in a Brampton car crash that killed Karolina Ciasullo and her three young daughters was denied bail on August 21 as protests raged on outside the courthouse.

20-year-old Brady Robertson, sometimes referred to as Brady Robinson, struck the mother and three daughters as he sped through a Brampton intersection on June 18, 2020.

The bail hearing began yesterday morning at 9:30 a.m. and went into Friday afternoon, when the decision was announced. Robertson faces four counts of death by dangerous driving.

There is a small celebration going on outside the courthouse, reports Global News.

"We don’t want to live in a country where you can take four lives and you are free after only five years in jail... changes are long overdue," Anna Martin, Ciasullo's sister, told Narcity earlier on Friday.
