I Tried Ontario's Gooey Creme Egg-Stuffed Cookie & Here's My Honest Opinion (PHOTOS)

Is it truly as good as it looks?
Lead Writer, Travel

When it comes to spring treats, the Niagara Cookie Co. Creme Egg Cookie checks all the boxes.

Topped with Mini Eggs and stuffed with an entire Cadbury Creme Egg, the massive dessert is basically a chocolate lover's dream come true.

I gave this outrageous cookie a try to see if it tastes as good as it looks, and here's my honest opinion.

Editor's Choice: I Tried All The Different Brands Of "Mini-Eggs" In Canada To Find Out Which 1 Was The Best

What is the texture like?

The cookie is absolutely massive and surprisingly heavy. It's basically an arm workout and dessert combined.

Even after being shipped in the mail, the cookie still had that enticing, fresh-out-of-the-oven appearance.

It was perfectly soft and a little squishy, and the instructions suggested warming it in the microwave for 30 seconds if you enjoy a more melty treat.

I found that 15 seconds resulted in a gooey centre and toasty outside without compromising the shape of the cookie.

The treats are super doughy and have that melt-in-your-mouth texture that takes you to cookie heaven.

How does it taste?

I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of Creme Eggs, so I was curious to see how I would enjoy the taste of this treat.

My mind was absolutely blown as soon as I took a bite.

The dough has just the right amount of sweetness to balance the chocolate, so you aren't overwhelmed by too much sugar.

The gooey centre is perfect for dipping pieces of cookie, and the Mini Eggs add a subtle crunch to the otherwise soft texture.

I'll warn you now, even if you say you'll just have a taste, there's no stopping after the first bite.

Is it worth the 'dough'?

I ordered the 3-pack from the website, which costs $11.25.

Given the size and quality of the cookies, I think this is a very reasonable price, and I'd definitely buy them again.

You can find them in the St. Catharines area at Preston Pies, 416 Coffee Co, Rollin Pizza, and Copper and Twine Boutique, or you can get them delivered across Canada.

I live a few hours away and had to get my cookies delivered, which added on an extra $10.

It was clear that there was a lot of care put into mailing the cookies, and they arrived in perfect condition without any crumbling.

If you're craving a spring treat, I'd say this is a good option for anyone with a sweet tooth.
