If you're looking for Christmas magic, this Ontario spot is the place to be. With glittering lights, cozy cups of hot chocolate and snowy landscapes, it has "festive" written all over it.

Online casino CasinoDays recently revealed a list of Canada's 10 "most magical Christmas destinations." The roundup features festive spots from around the country that are known for their holiday cheer.

In order to compile the list, CasinoDays analyzed Instagram hashtags and Tripadvisor reviews for terms like "magic" and "enchanting." Using a list of destinations from sources such as Condé Nast Traveler, they gave each location a "magical score" out of 10.

An Ontario destination took first place, and with its twinkling light displays, winter attractions, and holiday movie vibes, it's no surprise that it got some major recognition.

Niagara Falls was named the most magical Christmas destination in Canada, with a "magical score" of 9.52 out of 10.

"Known worldwide as a natural wonder, this breathtaking site goes full Christmas mode with the Winter Festival of Lights," the study said.

"Imagine glittering cascades of light, dazzling firework cruises, and enough holiday charm to fill Santa’s sleigh."

The Winter Festival of Lights is Canada's "largest free outdoor light festival," according to the website, and boasts 8 kilometres of twinkling displays along the Niagara River corridor.

It's running until January 5, 2025 and is a magical way to get in the holiday spirit.

You can also enjoy a hot chocolate trail filled with all sorts of unique creations by local Niagara eateries.

You'll want to stop by the poinsettia display at the Floral Showhouse, where you'll find festive plant installations and more.

Of course, it isn't a trip to Niagara Falls without seeing the cascades, and you can enjoy a special illumination each night of the festival.

Lake Louise in Alberta took second place for Canada's most magical Christmas destination, followed by Moraine Lake in B.C.

The only other Ontario spot to make the list was Toronto Island Park.

With glowing waterfalls and glittering light displays, Niagara Falls is a little Christmas paradise.
