Grand Bend is a gorgeous small town situated along the shining shores of Lake Huron. With its soft-sand beach and turquoise waters, the destination looks almost tropical, and has even been dubbed "Florida North."
According to Lambton Shores, it's "one of Canada's best beach towns" and offers "a variety of restaurants, shops, and nightlife destinations along the town's main strip."
The Main Beach is the largest in the area and is just a short walk from the shops and eateries. You can spend your weekends soaking up the sun on the white sandy shores and going for a dip in the lake.
The town is located close to another beach destination — Pinery Provincial Park. Here you'll find 10 kilometres of silky shores and rolling dunes, as well as scenic trails to explore.
In addition to its beaches, the town offers a farmers' market, museums, local theatre, art gallery, lakeside restaurants and more.
According to Grand Bend & Area Chamber of Commerce, "you will never regret escaping the noisy, crowded, traffic-jammed urbanscape for the tranquil, clean air communities in this region."
The area offers fresh, local foods, around 200 annual community events, privacy, and beautiful natural areas.
