An Ontario Driver Tried To Fool Police With A Hand-Drawn DIY Licence Plate (PHOTO)

One driver attempted to get creative with their Ontario licence plate this week but didn't fool police.

In a tweet on Monday, Sgt. Steve Koopman from the Kingston Police Unit stated that one vehicle was pulled over after a new patrol officer noticed "multiple issues."

One of which was a hand-drawn plate that was being used as a stand-in for the real thing. 

In a photo posted online, the plate numbers appear to be drawn on paper with a blue marker. 

While the word "Ontario" seems to be drawn above in pencil or pen. 

While this one driver got caught, it's not the first time plate forgery has been reported in the province. 

Back in January, Guelph police revealed that a driver had attempted to use a piece of laminated paper to replace their actual plate.

The OPP also pulled over a motorist for using a diaper box as their plates.
