Magnificent sunsets, sandy beaches and dune-filled shores await at this beautiful Ontario provincial park. The destination makes for a gorgeous summer day trip and you'll want to plan a visit while the warm weather is still here.

Offering scenic trails, sparkling waters, bike paths and more, the park is full of things to enjoy.

It's located about 3 and a half hours from Toronto, so it's a great spot for a day trip or weekend getaway.

You'll want to stay late to catch one of the sunsets, as the park is known for its beautiful skies as the sun descends over the water.

The Pinery Provincial Park, located in Grand Bend, is a mini summer paradise. The park is "breathtakingly beautiful," according to the website, and offers 10 kilometres of soft-sand beaches along Lake Huron.

You can spend the day lounging on the white sand shores and taking a dip in the aquamarine waters.

You'll want to bring your hiking shoes, because the park is home to some incredible trails. You can travel through Carolinian Forest, rare Oak Savanna and Coastal Dune Ecosystems.

The Lookout Trail takes you to a lookout platform on top of the dune where you can enjoy breathtaking views.

The park is located in Grand Bend, which is "one of Canada's best beach towns," so you'll want to spend some time exploring this spot as well.
