White sandy shores, sparkling blue waters and small town charm await at this lakeside village in Ontario. You'll feel like you've taken a mini trip to the tropics as you lounge on the beach and soak up some sunshine.

Nestled on the shores of Lake Huron, the town is about a 3-hour drive from Toronto, making it a convenient destination for a summer day trip or weekend away.

The beach town is renowned for its dazzling sunsets and pristine shoreline as well as its attractions and eateries.

If you're craving a little getaway, this small town is worth a road trip.

Grand Bend is a gorgeous summer destination located in Lambton Shores. It's known as "one of Canada's best beach towns," according to Ontario's Southwest, and is among the 22 beaches in the country with Blue Flag status for its water quality and safety criteria.

The Main Beach at Grand Bend is 20 acres in size and is free to visit. You can enjoy soft sand, sparkling waters and more at this spot.

You can also head to the nearby Pinery Provincial Park, which boasts 10 kilometres of sandy beach, rolling dunes and stunning hikes. There is a cost for admission into the park.

Grand Bend is home to cute local, beachside restaurants, bars and nightlife. You'll want to stay late to catch one of the town's famous sunsets, which paint the sky with vibrant hues of pink and orange.
