Southern parts of the province are in for an early shot of spring weather with rain and warmer temperatures.
A new forecast from The Weather Network has revealed that a "powerful spring storm" is on the way for the first week of March.
The frigid cold temperatures in Ontario will start to ease throughout the day on Monday, March 3.
A warm front moves in on Tuesday, March 4 and southern Ontario could get a rain-snow mix that morning.
But the real warm up doesn't happen until Wednesday, March 5.
The temperature is forecast to be 6 C in Toronto, 6 C in Markham, 8 C in Pickering, 7 C in Brampton, 9 C in Burlington, 11 C in Hamilton, 10 C in London, and 12 C in Windsor!
Wednesday will be "a washout" for southern and eastern parts of the province, according to The Weather Network.
Around 10 to more than 20 mm of rain is possible across Ontario from Windsor to Ottawa.
That means there is a higher risk of localized flooding as snow melts. Also, ice jams could be possible in gutters and downspouts.
Some parts of southwestern Ontario might hear some rumbles of thunder on Wednesday.
As the storm moves out of the province on Thursday, March 6, a temperature drop will cause rain to change into blowing snow for parts of southern and eastern Ontario.
Colder-than-normal temperatures are expected this weekend but will then be "much milder" next week.
According to The Weather Network, above-seasonal temperatures are set to dominate from mid-March to almost the end of the month!
