Osmow's Created National Shawarma Day In Canada & So Many Menu Items Are Just $5

Today's the day!
Senior Writer

COVID-19 hasn't been kind to a lot of businesses and while some restaurants have closed down because of the pandemic, one chain serving up Mediterranean dishes is still kicking and has a new reason to celebrate.

October 15 is the first-ever Osmow's National Shawarma Day across Canada after the restaurant chain declared it to celebrate the food's Middle Eastern flavours.

$5 price of select Osmow's items for National Shawarma Day

For their part, you can get four items that are priced like they were back in 2001 when their first location opened.

Regular size falafel or chicken shawarma wraps and medium falafel or chicken on the rocks are available for just $5 each plus tax.

This deal is only available on October 15 and there's a limit of five per customer, so you can't start a shawarma stock pile (we wish)!

Keep in mind for locations in Toronto, Ottawa and Peel, indoor dining is off the table once again because of high COVID-19 case counts so you’ll have to get it delivered or to go there.

Now that it's a holiday, maybe other spots that sell the international delicacy will jump on the bandwagon and offer deals to commemorate the day next year.

You can never have too many cheap shawarma options!
