Of those, 92.7% were reported in either Ontario or Quebec.

10,001 Total COVID-19 deaths in Canada

As the country continues to report record-breaking numbers of new cases, Justin Trudeau shared a grim prediction.

As part of an emotional speech on Tuesday, Canada’s PM told Canandians, “We need to know that there are more tragedies to come.”

“We need to be there for each other and we need to keep them [the number of deaths] as low and infrequent as possible with everything we know,” he added.

Trudeau also admitted that his youngest son had asked him if the pandemic would last forever.

Dr. Theresa Tam, Canada’s top doctor, has also warned that the number of hospitalizations and deaths could soon surge, as they “tend to lag behind increased disease activity.”
