Multiple Severe Thunderstorm Watches Are In Place For Ontario & It's About To Get Chaotic

Hail, thunderstorms and high winds are in the forecast.

Contributing Writer

If you were planning to take a nice stroll in the park this evening, you might want to check your local weather forecast first.

Environment Canada has issued several severe thunderstorm watches across parts of southern Ontario today and judging by the incoming conditions, it's going to be chaos.

"Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail this afternoon and evening," reads an excerpt from the warning.

The weather agency even warns that large hail, which could damage property and cause injury, is also on the way.

It's going to be so messy that the Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management is recommending that anyone caught outside during the storm take cover immediately if it turns threatening.

Severe thunderstorm watches have been issued for spots such as Ottawa, Barrie, Parry Sound and York.
