Ottawa Hasn't Reported A COVID-19 Death In Nine Consecutive Days

On July 5, Ottawa Public Health confirmed that the COVID-19 situation continues to improve in the city, as some figures have slowed to a halt. For the ninth consecutive day in a row, Ottawa is reporting no new deaths related to COVID-19.

Sharing an update on Sunday, Ottawa Public Health confirmed that while there are four new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease, there continues to be no new deaths.

1,800 That's the number of people who've recovered from COVID-19 in Ottawa, according to Ottawa Public Health.

Since the first case in Ottawa was diagnosed on March 11, there have been 2,110 total confirmed cases in the city. Of these, 1,800 people have now recovered.

85% of all COVID-19 cases in the capital city are now considered to be resolved by Ottawa Public Health.

There are currently 47 active cases in Ottawa, including three people in hospital for related illnesses and one person in the Intensive Care Unit.
