One of Ontario's stunning tourist attractions has officially reopened after three years. The Tip Tower in Point Pelee National Park, which offers breathtaking views of Canada's southernmost point, is now welcoming back visitors.

The 24-metre observation tower is situated on the shores of Lake Erie and features 144 steps to the top.

The tower first opened in 2020 but closed in May 2022 due to "a possible issue in the guard rail system," according to Parks Canada. After "a lengthy and complex process," The Tip Tower's construction is now largely complete, and it reopened to the public in February 2025.

The structure boasts stunning 360-degree views of the sparkling waters and sandy shoreline below.

To reach the attraction, you can take a free shuttle from the park's Visitor Centre to the Tip's outdoor exhibit and tower. During your visit, you can walk to the most southern tip of mainland Canada and soak up some incredible views.

The park is home to a range of scenic trails and attractions, including a marsh lookout tower and boardwalk. In the summer, you can enjoy sun-filled beaches, cycling, canoeing and picnics, while winter offers skiing and snowy hikes.

Enjoy panoramic views from this newly reopened lookout tower in Ontario.
