6 'The Ring' Filming Locations You Can Visit That'll Scare Any Horror Movie Fan

The PNW makes for the perfect horror film backdrop. 💦
Contributor

Everyone probably remembers the first time they watched the 2002 horror film, "The Ring." To make it even more real for folks from the PNW, the majority of the classic flick was filmed right here in Seattle, like many other movies filmed in Washington. It's a perfect backdrop for a rainy, dreary film.

The shooting locations feature all kinds of quintessential Washington staples from popular children's summer camps to Port Townsend Ferry Terminals and the downtown Seattle skyline.

Are you brave enough to find the location of Samara's well? What about Shelter Mountain Inn?

If so, this list features six of the places you can visit to head out on a spooky tour.

Make sure to have your phone fully charged and bring a friend along and remember, play at your own risk!
