For St. Patrick's Day 2021, Canada's prime minister has some recommendations on how to celebrate this year.

Justin Trudeau tweeted about the annual holiday and said he hopes that Canadians are wearing green outfits and have a Guinness or two ready to drink.

He also said that we still have to keep apart along with staying safe and healthy during the festivities but it's worth celebrating that "better days are ahead."

A city in Ontario has put new COVID-19 restrictions in place to stop St. Patrick's Day parties, including a ban on dancing and singing.

In B.C., the last call at restaurants, pubs and liquor stores is earlier than usual at 8:00 p.m. on March 17.
