BC Is Shutting Bars & Liquor Stores Down Early Tonight For St. Patrick's Day

If you're gearing up to drink green beer all night long, the St. Patrick's Day rules in B.C. might have you shutting things down earlier than expected. 

On Tuesday, March 16, Dr. Bonnie Henry reminded British Columbians that the last call at restaurants, pubs, and liquor stores will be at 8 p.m. on St. Parick's Day.

"A reminder for those who celebrate St. Patrick's Day to do so safely and in line with the provincial health officer's orders," she wrote in a news release.

She said this mandate is to protect businesses and their staff. 

At present, B.C. is allowing outdoor gatherings in groups of up to 10 people, as long as you're seeing the same 10 people each time.
