BC's Most Breathtaking Scandinavian Spa With Turquoise Pools Opens This Week
Treat yo'self this summer.
We know you've all been dying to return to the Scandinavian spa in Whistler, but thankfully, you won't have to wait much longer. The beautiful baths are reopening on Friday, July 3 for the 2020 season. They've also put in new safety measures for COVID-19 to keep you as safe as possible while you bliss out.
If you're looking for the perfect day trip this weekend, this authentic Scandinavian spa experience might just be the one to blow your socks off. Nestled amongst the wild of Whistler, their saunas, steam rooms, pools and hammocks are ready for you.
To help keep you safe during the pandemic, they say they've installed a ton of new cleaning and disinfection protocols. They'll also be testing their water quality twice as frequently as recommended by authorities.
Other regulations include having everyone take a shower with soap before visiting the baths or massages, limiting groups to a max of two people, banning access to anyone with symptoms, and many more. You can read a more complete list on their site.
In proper Scandinavian tradition, their hydrotherapy starts you off in a hot bath or sauna, before throwing you into the cold with a nordic waterfall, shower, or cold plunge.
After the change gets your heart beating, you can then go relax in the solarium, hammock haven, or other relaxation areas.
They say the process of going from hot to cold helps up your heart rate and releases endorphins — flushing you with warmth and a great fuzzy feeling.
If you're not into the baths, you can also stop by for one of their six types of massages, perfect after a long work week or day. Each massage package also comes with access to the baths and robe rental.
Out of all theto check out, this is definitely up there. If you've been having a rough week or you're just looking to treat yourself, these amazing baths are perfect for you.
