Whether you're passing through The Peach State, or just going down the road to the store, there's a chance you'll pass at least one sunflower field during the summertime. Many of these spots may be located on private property, but some allow you to actually go pick your own bouquets of sunshine. Georgia's Long Farms u-pick sunflower field has stalks that you can pluck fresh and without breaking the bank.

You'll find Long Farms in Bainbridge, just about three and a half hours south of Atlanta. Their sunflower blooms run for only $0.50 a stalk, and you can fill your bucket as full as you'd like with their sunshine.

Pro-tip — bring some garden sheers to make snipping easier and fill your bucket with some water to keep your thirsty blooms fresh post-plucking. Snag a couple of cheap vases at your local dollar shop and surprise your mom, sister, grandma, or BFF with a cute gift.

There's nothing quite like fresh sunflowers in your house during the summer.

If you'd rather take photos than flowers, professional photoshoots are allowed on the property for a $20 fee, just watch out for all the bumblebees these flowers attract. They'll usually leave you be if you're gentle walking around them.

While you're here, checking out their fresh veggies is a must. These are u-pick as well and it's just $9 to fill a five-gallon bucket of your favorite produce.

The farm grows butter peas, black-eyed peas, collards, cabbage, cucumbers, eggplant, ford hook limas, green butterbeans, kale, okra, pinkeye/purple hull peas, peppers, snap beans, yellow squash, and zucchini.

You can visit this farm year-round, but different produce will be in bloom depending on when you go. Their seasonal produce is listed on their official website

They also have their own cattle and you can purchase farm-fresh meats as well.

This is not your average movie or dinner date, it's more affordable and could even be more fun. when it's your turn to pick the hangout spot, you can take your BFF or boo to this spot and really wow them with something unique this summer.
