I ranked Tim Hortons donuts from best to worst and there's one I won't order again
After I tried all these donuts, the winners and losers are clear. 👀

Box of Tim Hortons donuts. Right: Chocolate Glazed donut from Tim Hortons.

I tried all of the donuts at Tim Hortons to find out what the best flavours are, and there's one I won't order again.
You might not agree with my ranking of these donuts from best to worst!
Narcity recently asked Canadians which Tim Hortons donuts are the best, and so many people said ones that have been discontinued, like Walnut Crunch and the Dutchie.
But when it comes to the donuts that are always on the Tims menu, the Apple Fritter was the top choice, and the Boston Cream donut was the runner-up.
After that, Old Fashioned Plain, Chocolate Dip, Vanilla Dip, and Chocolate Glazed were tied.
Double Chocolate and Honey Dip only got one vote each. Nobody said that Sour Cream Glazed or Honey Cruller was the best Tim Hortons donut.
So, I decided to order a dozen donuts from Tim Hortons and try each flavour to find out which one is the best.
Here's my opinion on each Tim Hortons donut, along with a rating for each and a ranking of all the flavours from best to worst!
Chocolate Glazed donut
Tim Hortons Chocolate Glazed donut.
At Tim Hortons, the Chocolate Glazed donut has a nice sugary crunch from the glaze, but the donut is soft and cakey.
There's a really good chocolate taste that's not overpowering.
It's one of the best on the menu, in my opinion.
Price: $1.59 each
Rating: 4 out of 5
Boston Cream donut
Tim Hortons Boston Cream donut.
Boston Cream is a regular donut with a classic chocolate glaze on top so it has a pretty normal taste.
The cream is what makes the difference for this donut. It has a smooth taste that contrasts with the doughiness of the donut.
But there's not enough of it, and it's hard to find. So, that makes this donut lose points, in my opinion.
Price: $1.59 each
Rating: 3 out of 5
Honey Dip donut
Tim Hortons Honey Dip donut.
With the Honey Dip donut, there isn't much honey flavour from the glaze, so it tastes kind of blah.
The donut is too soft when biting into it that it almost feels like not eating anything at all.
Price: $1.59 each
Rating: 1.5 out of 5
Sour Cream Glazed donut
Tim Hortons Sour Cream Glazed donut.
In my opinion, the Sour Cream Glazed donut shouldn't be on the menu.
Even though the crunch of the glaze on the outside and the denseness of the dough on the inside aren't bad, the taste of the entire donut is just off.
It doesn't taste good, especially after you lose the sugar from the glaze that you get when you first bite into the donut.
Price: $1.59 each
Rating: 1 out of 5
Old Fashioned Plain donut
Tim Hortons Old Fashioned Plain donut.
With the Old Fashioned Plain donut at Tims, there's a great crispiness to the outside, but the dough is so pillow-y on the inside.
The nutmeg and/or cinnamon spice that's baked into the donut really makes it one of the best on the menu, in my opinion.
I also think it's better because it's not sweet like all the other donuts at Tim Hortons.
Price: $1.59 each
Rating: 4.5 out of 5
Apple Fritter
Tim Hortons Apple Fritter.
The sugary glaze on the Apple Fritter is so crunchy and tasty, and then the inside is soft, tender and gooey.
It has good spices baked into the donut and the chunks of apple that are packed in the centre.
There's no doubt in my mind as to why Canadians said this is the best Tim Hortons donut on the menu right now.
Price: $1.59 each
Rating: 5 out of 5
Vanilla Dip donut
Tim Hortons Vanilla Dip donut.
Vanilla Dip is a classic Tim Hortons donut, but I don't really like it.
There's not much flavour because it's a plain donut that's dipped in a vanilla glaze that doesn't really taste like anything, in my opinion.
Also, there are just too many sprinkles on top.
Price: $1.59 each
Rating: 2 out of 5
Chocolate Dip donut
Tim Hortons Chocolate Dip donut.
In my opinion, the Chocolate Dip donut isn't that good because it's just a plain donut with a bit of chocolate glaze on top.
Despite that, I do like that it's not too sweet.
Price: $1.59 each
Rating: 2.5 out of 5
Honey Cruller
Tim Hortons Honey Cruller donut.
Honey Cruller is a much tastier honey-flavoured donut than the Honey Dip because it has more of that honey flavour, in my opinion.
The donut is a bit too soft, but the glaze gives it the much-needed crunch.
Also, the unique shape of the Honey Cruller almost makes it taste better somehow.
Price: $1.59 each
Rating: 3 out of 5
Double Chocolate donut
Tim Hortons Double Chocolate donut.
The Double Chocolate donut at Tim Hortons isn't very sweet, even though it's a chocolate donut with a chocolate glaze on top.
It tastes really good, in my opinion. The donut reminds me of cake more than a donut, but I don't mind that.
Price: $1.59 each
Rating: 3.5 out of 5
DONUT RANKING
Tim Hortons donuts.
Despite having donuts from Tims pretty much my entire life, there were a few flavours that I hadn't tried before now.
After spending $14.49 for a dozen donuts, I was pleasantly surprised by how many flavours I actually liked since so many people said Tims donuts aren't good anymore.
Here's my ranking of Tim Hortons donuts from best to worst:
- Apple Fritter
- Old Fashioned Plain
- Chocolate Glazed
- Double Chocolate
- Boston Cream
- Honey Cruller
- Chocolate Dip
- Vanilla Dip
- Honey Dip
- Sour Cream Glazed
I would order all of these again, except for the Sour Cream Glazed!
