Roll Up To Win is back at Tim Hortons and classic roll up cups are returning so you actually roll up the rim!

So, you might be wondering how to play with the app, how to get paper roll up cups and what prizes you can win.

Roll Up To Win is happening at Tims locations across Canada from Monday, February 24 to Sunday, March 23, 2025.

Here's everything you need to know.

How to play Roll Up To Win

You might be wondering how to play Roll Up To Win on the app.

Before ordering any menu items to earn rolls, you need to have the Tim Hortons app downloaded and sign into or create your account.

Then, through the app, you earn digital rolls when you scan for Tims Rewards before paying, use Scan & Pay, or place a mobile order.

You can scan your physical Tims Rewards card instead but just make sure it's registered so you can reveal your rolls in the app later.

Here's how you earn rolls:

  • one digital roll for each eligible purchase of a hot or cold beverage, breakfast sandwich or wrap, or lunch or dinner food item
  • one additional digital roll (two digital rolls in total) for each eligible purchase of a hot or cold beverage when you bring a reusable cup
  • three digital rolls for each eligible purchase of Tims at Home products bought at a Tim Hortons location
  • three digital rolls for each eligible purchase of Tims at Home products you purchase from participating retailers
  • 50 bonus digital rolls when you successfully open (and successfully fund when applicable) a new Tims MasterCard account
  • one bonus digital roll per day when you make an eligible purchase using your Tims MasterCard

After you've made a purchase and scanned your Tims Rewards card, you can reveal your rolls and see if you're a winner in the Tim Hortons app.

But don't forget the classic paper roll up cups that are making a comeback this year!

How to get paper roll up cups

Any small, medium, large, or extra-large hot beverage that you order will be served in a Roll Up To Win paper cup while supplies last.

These paper cups have the classic rollable rim that reveals if you're a winner.

But if you get espresso shots, added espresso shots, hot water or cold beverages in a hot cup, you won't get a roll up cup.

If you scan for rewards while ordering or order ahead through the app, you'll also earn a digital roll that you can reveal in the Tims app.

You don't have to be a Tim Rewards member and scan a rewards card to get a paper roll up cup.

Since there is a limited amount of roll up cups, you can ask a Tim Hortons employee if that location still has some before placing your order.

If you win a free coffee or donut, tear off the rim and give it to the Tims employee behind the counter when ordering.

Other prizes — including cars, vacations and TVs — can be won on the paper cups but not redeemed at a Tim Hortons location.
