A New Vaccination Appointment System In York Was Completely Booked Up After Just 3 Hours
It didn't take long for the newest Ontario vaccination appointment system to run out of available slots.
York Region tweeted that there were no more available vaccination appointments in the region at 11:18 a.m. on Monday morning, just three hours after the online system became open to the public.

The online booking system became operational at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 1, for York Region residents aged 80 or older to book an appointment to receive a COVID-19 vaccine dose.
But after 20,000 people booked appointments within two hours of the system opening to the public, appointments are now on hold until more vaccine doses become available.
York Region Public Health (YRPH) has not provided any information as to when the region will receive more shipments of the COVID-19 vaccines.
According to Patrick Casey, the director of corporate communications for YRPH, residents will be notified through York's social media, website and media partners when appointments become available.
"At this time residents are urged to remain patient and will be notified as more appointment bookings become available," Casey said in a statement to Narcity.
