Three victims had initially been confirmed deceased, but upon a secondary search of the property, a fourth victim was discovered.

The fire also spread to a neighbouring home, and houses on both sides were evacuated.

However, Toronto Fire Service Chief Jessop said to the media that all six victims were taken from 95 Gainsborough.

One firefighter was reported to have fallen through the floor but is accounted for and okay.

The conditions of the two injured victims in hospital are unknown, Chief Jessop said in a live statement to CP24

Toronto Fire Services will begin a complete investigation once the house is deemed safe. CP24 reports that crews will likely remain at the scene for most of the day.
