According to CP24, the number of people legally allowed at an event will be limited for both indoor and outdoor settings.

Number of COVID-19 cases in Ontario today

Currently, 100 people are able to gather outside, while 50 indoors if social distancing rules are followed.

It is still unclear how much smaller these groups will be for these three regions.

However, CP24 reports that the size cap may not apply to businesses.

The move comes after a surge in COVID-19 cases, with 315 new cases being reported on Wednesday.

The province has specifically struggled to prevent large parties and get-togethers from happening since entering into stage three
