You Can Float Your Worries Away On A Lazy River Raft In Ontario This Summer

A little something to float your boat!
Contributor

Hold on to your paddles everyone, because we’ve got some great news. You can float your cares away on an Ontario lazy river this summer. It's truly the private paradise we all need right now.

And the best part? They’re set to reopen from this Saturday, June 13.

Located in the charming municipality of Brant, Ont., Grand River Rafting offers a wide variety of scenic trips along the gorgeous Grand River.

And since Brant is only about an hour away from Toronto, it makes for a super easy day trip activity as well.

The company offers single person tubes, standing paddleboards, kayaks, and more.

But no matter what your chariot of choice is, the calming water views really can’t be beaten.

However, if your summer fun budget is a little dried up at the moment, then tubing is where it’s at.

You can be rollin' on the river in your own personal tube for just $35 plus tax. The 11.5-kilometre trip will take you from Glen Morris to Paris, Ont. and experience is not needed.

Now that sounds totally tubular!

So if you’re looking to start your summer off with a splash, this might be the perfect way to do it.

The $35 tubing excursion includes the boat, paddles, life jackets, a dry bag, a map, orientation, and more.

If you bring your own water bottle, you can also get a free refill before you head out on the river.

River guides are also available for an additional $150 if you don’t feel comfortable navigating the water on your own.

What's more, Paris is widely accepted as one of the province's prettiest towns, and seeing it from the water certainly won’t disappoint.

Recent reviews of the Grand River Rafting experience suggest the route is perfectly picturesque and easy to navigate no matter what your skill level is.

Since you’re going to be floating in the sun for an extended period, don’t forget to bring sunscreen and wear long sleeves if you burn easily.

Additionally, you should bring footwear you don’t mind getting wet, plus a hat, water, and snacks.

You can book your trip online or over the phone, too. If that doesn't float your boat, nothing will.

Grand River Rafting

Price: Starting at $35

When: Opening June 13, 2020
