It looks like the end of July is going to be a hot mess loaded with thunderstorm risk.

According to The Weather Network, the latest wave of 30 C heat and humidity will arrive in southern Ontario by Monday afternoon bringing with it a widespread risk of non-severe storms.

Areas like Toronto, Ottawa and Huntsville will be hit with everything from torrential rain to small hail. On top of this, strong wind gusts are also expected throughout the day.

Rain is also expected to hit parts of the province on both Tuesday and Thursday. By the end of the week, things are expected to drop a few degrees below seasonal, offering some much-needed relief to residents.

In fact, temperatures around cottage country will likely remain in the teens during the holiday Monday.
