We’re berry excited about this one. This summer, you can pick your own strawberries in Ontario at this stunningly colourful farm near Toronto. So if you’re looking for juicy adventures, why not head out and bask in the fruits of your labours... literally.
Located less than an hour away from the 6ix in Milton, Ont., Andrews’ Farm is always blooming with different fruits and vibrant flowers.
The crop variety gives the fields here a rainbow effect that will steal your heart away in any season.
But when summer rolls around, it’s strawberry fields forever.
According to the farm’s harvest schedule, strawberries should be ripe for picking sometime in June and they typically last throughout July.
As July begins to fade into August, you can also find blueberries, raspberries, gooseberries, sweet corn and so much more.
Admission to the farm will cost $6 on weekdays and $12 on weekends, but berry prices vary.
They also have a farm store where you can find all kinds of yummy fruity treats.
At the time of writing, both the farm store and the pick-your-own service have physical distancing measures in place.
So before you head out, be sure to check the website for recent updates.
Berry picking season is largely dependant on the weather, so availability will vary from year to year.
But don’t worry, according to a post on the farm’s social media account, pick-your-own strawberries should be ready soon.
Though, if it’s sweet desserts you’re after, you’ll love the 2.5-pound pies found in the farm store.
Recently, Andrews’ Farm launched an online store as well. So now you can order pounds of pies for curbside pickup.
Because pie not? You dessert it.
You can find things like fresh asparagus and rhubarb, tarts, cookie dough, maple syrup, and so much more in the store as well.
So if you're looking for things to do near Toronto this summer to brighten up your days, this little farm has just what you're looking for.
