This Toronto Rooftop Patio Has Reopened As A Floral Oasis & Here's A First Look (PHOTOS)

There's a new menu, too!

Lead Writer, Travel

One of Toronto's towering rooftop patios has just reopened, and it's been transformed into a flower-filled wonderland.

Skyflower is now welcoming guests back to its sky-high dining area, which boasts a new gourmet comfort food menu and updated decor.

The venue first opened as a pop-up in the summer of 2020, and now you can enjoy the revamped experience while taking in panoramic city views.

The Space

Located above the historic Garden Theatre, Skyflower offers sweeping city views and a backdrop of the CN Tower.

After travelling up two flights of stairs, you'll step onto a secluded rooftop filled with floral decor.

Leafy hedges run along the terrace walls, making you feel as though you've taken a trip to an English garden. Bright flowers pop from the greenery and hang from the beams, and the whole area has an enchanting, whimsical vibe to it.

The seating arrangement consists of wooden tables, benches, and boho-style chairs that bring a bit of a Mediterranean vacay feel to the space.

The Food

Food is always the star of the show, and with a menu created by MasterChef Canada winner Chef Eric Chong, you just can't go wrong at this spot.

If fried chicken is your true love, then you'll definitely want to order some to start. The popcorn chicken is seasoned with 16 spices and drizzled with a Korean soy glaze, and it has the perfect crispy outer layer and soft interior.

For those who are feeling fancy-dancy but also a little nostalgic, the foie gras "PB&J" is worth trying. It comes with all sorts of goodness like fluffy brioche and fig jam, but make sure you're feeling hungry, as it is very filling.

The halibut looks just as good as it tastes. It comes served in a bright pink rosé beurre blanc that adds a hint of sweetness to the dish.

If burgers are more your style, the deluxe meltdown burger will satisfy your cravings, especially since it comes topped with bacon jam. Be warned — the frites and truffle aioli are so good, you might just forget your burger altogether.

No meal is complete without dessert, and the Paris-brest is almost too pretty to eat. Filled with mascarpone mousse and strawberry compote, it's like summer on a plate.

The Drinks

What's a rooftop date without a few good drinks? While the cocktail menu isn't extensive, it does offer two feature drinks that are worth sipping.

The Skyflower is a refreshing beverage that's perfect for the summer season. It's got a hint of sweetness and comes adorned with a flower for some extra tropical vibes.

If you can handle some heat, the Tropic Like It's Hot should be your go-to. It's got a little bit of spice that will bring some extra hotness to your summer.
