If you were hoping the weekend storms were the last we'd see for a while around Toronto, it's time to think again.

Environment Canada issued tornado warnings near Toronto on Tuesday, August 4 and is advising residents in affected areas west of the city to seek shelter as soon as possible if threatening weather approaches.

EC adds that a "severe" thunderstorm is also threatening damaging winds, large hail, and dramatic local downpours.
The areas subject to the warnings included parts of Halton and Peel regions like Mississauga, Brampton, and Halton Hills, as of 4:57 p.m.

It notes that if you hear a roaring sound or see a funnel cloud forming, as well as any flying debris, you should take immediate shelter. However, warnings in some places had been downgraded to watches as of around 5:20 p.m.

This storm comes on the heels of devastating damage this weekend, which saw multiple tornadoes and massive flooding in some areas.
